83,000 m2 warehouse space for consumer brands

With its prime location for large consumer brands’ distribution needs, DSV’s newly built 83,000 m2 warehouse in Venlo, The Netherlands, is already in operation. The space is halfway filled, and the rest is fully booked for 2019.

Prime location for consumer brands

The demand for logistics services in Venlo, The Netherlands, is continuously expanding due to its prime location for reaching large and important consumer markets. To accommodate the increasing need for logistics services in the area, the DSV campus in Venlo has been expanded with more warehouse space no less than three times since its opening in 2008.

The new warehouse and its associated logistics services meet the high demands of DSV’s consumer brand customers such as the American footwear brand New Balance, and several Scandinavian consumer brands like Thule, Stokke and many more.

 “We have the highest security level obtainable (TAPA) to keep our customer’s inventory safe and secure at all times. As a modern warehouse facility, we also have specialised storage space and trained staff that can handle dangerous goods like highly flammable products,”

Remco Innemee, Senior Director, Solutions, comments and continues:

“The site and the staff also have the capacity to meet the needs of the growing e-commerce industry and to keep up with the continued growth of our customers - part of the warehouse is even built in two levels for a double level picking area.”

The DSV site in Venlo employs 700 people with a planned scope of employing 1.000 by the end of 2019, to match the growth of the customers’ business and their logistics needs.
