DSV Air & Sea

For our fast growing division DSV Air & Sea, based in Rozenburg, we are looking for a Sales Executive.

Are you the enterprising and commercially driven Sales Executive with a passion for transport and logistics? Are you a real 'hunter' with a high award factor? Then we would like to get in touch with you. 

We are looking for a new colleague who will set to work with her/his energy, drive and enthusiasm. As a Sales Executive you will be more on the road, travelling to customers and actively selling the total package that DSV Air & Sea has to offer. That means sea freight, air freight and Xpress, but also our value-added services. In your sales pitch to the customer you will not shy away from the challenge of also offering the services of DSV Road and DSV Solutions.

As Sales Executive you are responsible for maintaining and optimizing the cooperation with your new customers in the provinces around Rozenburg. If you live in this region, this is an advantage, as is your previous work experience in a field sales position with other logistics service providers. Your knowledge/experience with air and/or sea freight is important in order to talk to your customers on a professional level.

The Sales Director of DSV Air & Sea, Erik van der Kruit, is the person to whom you will report directly. Erik would like to talk to you about the opportunities and possibilities in this position at DSV. He is looking for someone who 'enjoys new customers and gets a kick out of a sales success'. Do you recognise yourself in this profile? 

Other tasks in your function are

  • Actively approaching potential accounts in the provinces surrounding Rozenburg
  • Actively providing tailored solutions to new accounts based on account plans in collaboration with operational managers
  • Building and maintaining a network (internal and external).
  • Offering and following up offers to potential clients
  • Ensuring adequate management information about the market (position) in order to be able to assess the account plan.

What do you bring?

  • Minimum of HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level
  • Minimum of 2 years' work experience in a (preferably) commercial role in the logistics sector
  • Up-to-date knowledge/experience of air or sea freight, incoterms and international logistics
  • Command of the Dutch and English language orally and in writing
  • You preferably live in the region around your duty station Rozenburg
  • You are proactive, creative, commercial, decisive and results-oriented

Besides a challenging job in an international environment we offer you a gross salary per month appropriate to the position and your work experience, 28 days holiday and 8% holiday pay based on gross annual salary (payable in May), 5% gratification based on gross annual salary (payable in November), a bonus linked to targets, company car, mobile phone and laptop.
