Move forward as Senior Team Lead Export at DSV in Dordrecht

Working with 6 to 8 operational colleagues, focused on ocean freight export. And letting them grow operationally and personally through your coaching and positive way of leading. That is what you do!

You get it done

The sea freight export department works for well-known and unknown international key accounts. In your position, you are responsible for specific accounts and have operational contact with carriers/shippers. Your extensive knowledge of transport and (export) sea freight is important here. On a daily basis, you are the customer-oriented and experienced senior team lead export who is the point of contact in case of questions or problems. As senior team lead export, you ensure that your team works with a smile every day. You contribute to it.

How do you do this? By working very closely with your team as senior team lead export and providing them with advice, tips and answers to questions. Every working day, you are actively involved in the operational and tactical leadership of your team. You get this done by:

  • maintaining contact with international (overseas) colleagues, road transporters and shipping companies; 
  • ensuring timely planning and feasibility of shipments;
  • being actively involved in personnel management (performance interviews, sick leave and training);
  • facilitating team meetings and realising improvements in the department.

Your team operates in one of the largest departments in Dordrecht. There is laughter and hard work at the same time. A working day starts between 07.00 and 09.30 in the morning. Everyone coordinates when to start, so that the team is up and running. Because ultimately, good cooperation, with a smile, is the basis of your team.

You bring

  • at least 5 years of working experience in freight forwarding in the field of export sea freight;
  • a good knowledge of Dutch and English to be able to speak or e-mail with customers.
