In this role, you are responsible for supplying major international clients in the oil and gas industry. You ensure that the daily operations of facilities, including offshore drilling platforms, continue running 24/7 by coordinating the delivery of all necessary goods. This can range from industrial engines to time-critical products. Time is of the essence! Together with your colleagues, you find the best logistical solutions. That is what you do!

You get it done

Together with your colleagues in Rotterdam (both office and warehouse), you ensure that all necessary goods reach offshore (drilling) platforms or oil & gas sites overseas. This happens via air freight, sea freight, breakbulk, or courier services. From DSV’s warehouse to the other side of the world, you play a vital role in making it happen: you're on it. 

How you do this? A client places an order with a supplier and contacts you. Time for action! Your colleagues in the warehouse receive the shipment, check it for quantity, damages and documentation. You then ensure that the shipment is prepared, find the best transport option and confirm that all certifications and documentation are correct. Throughout the process, you maintain a focus on customer satisfaction for your international key accounts. Your goal, delivering top service and optimal customer satisfaction. This also means keeping the client informed about the progress of their deliveries. You achieve this by:

• processing customer orders in Cargowise and informing colleagues about their tasks;
• maintaining contact with transport companies, shipping lines, airlines and agents;
• resolving delivery issues, such as delays or situations that could affect timely or complete delivery;
• keeping clients updated about the status of their deliveries, both by phone and email.

You bring

• several years of experience with air and/or sea freight breakbulk shipments, such as in roles like freight forwarder, export operations, or project specialist;
• strong language skills, with proficiency in both Dutch and English, as you will have frequent contact with clients via phone and email.
