Globetrotter is looking for an experienced road transport freight forwarder for imports and exports. Do you have at least 3 years of experience in road transport? For our road transport operations to and from France and Belgium, we have opportunities for both an import and export freight forwarder. Your mission is to find the most efficient and cost-effective routes. You will work closely with internal colleagues and our partners, feeding our route planners the data they need to ensure our trucks are fully loaded and on the road: You are on it. 

How you do this? Each day around 40 trucks are on the road to or from France and Belgium. Time for action! You and your 11 direct colleagues are responsible for keeping everything running smoothly. You will follow up on ongoing road transports, track which trucks still need loading, coordinate with cross-dock colleagues, handle the proper paperwork, identify transport issues and maintain close contact with our customers. Your goal? To ensure our customers are satisfied. You achieve this by:

• processing incoming orders via CargoLink;
• handling loading location inquiries, providing license plates and ensuring necessary transport documentation is completed;
• responding to customer inquiries, updating them on transport statuses and proactively checking for shipments ready for transport;
• collaborating with DSV locations, internal colleagues and providing input to route planners.

You bring

• at least three years of experience in a role focused on import or export road transport, such as transport planner, import/export agent, logistics coordinator, or customer service;
• a vibrant personality, you are energetic and not afraid to stand out;
• strong proficiency in Dutch and English, with French being a plus.
