We’re seeking a manager who can not only oversee operational processes but also contribute to growth with existing and new clients, as well as expand our transport network for both pallets and parcels. You’re on it.

How you do this? In this challenging role, you'll lead a stable and experienced team, including a supervisor and account coordinator as direct reports, and a team of nine freight forwarders as indirect reports. Together, you’ll optimize transport processes and expand the carrier network. You’ll be responsible for daily transport operations in the Southwest Netherlands region and involved in key projects, such as preparing for the move to our new location in Moerdijk in 2025 (the largest warehouse in the Netherlands), currently under construction. You achieve this by:

• leading MBRs and QBRs with clients and carriers, and managing relationships with parcel and pallet carriers;
• attracting new carriers, optimizing the transport network, and developing transport concepts based on shipment profiles;
• successfully implementing new concepts and onboarding clients;
• analyzing transport budget deviations, preparing reports, and implementing cost-saving solutions;
• managing accounts and contracts while improving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

You bring

• a bachelor’s or master’s degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field;
• 3–5 years of experience in transport or carrier management, preferably in a 3PL environment, along with proven experience leading and coaching teams;
• expertise in carrier management, including contract negotiations and relationship building with carriers;
• a commercial mindset and the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities;
• excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
