Road transport fuel surcharge for sea freight – weekly update
Fuel costs represent one of the largest expense items within the transport and logistics sector. These costs are highly dependent on external factors and are therefore difficult to predict.
For DSV, diesel prices are increasingly influenced by geopolitical developments, such as international tensions, trade measures and disruptions in energy supply chains. This results in rapid and sometimes unexpected price fluctuations.
To pass on these fluctuations in a transparent and fair manner, DSV applies a fuel clause based on the guidelines of Transport en Logistiek Nederland.
Given the increasing volatility in fuel prices, we publish this current fuel surcharge on a weekly basis. This allows us to better align with the market and provide you with up-to-date and clear insights into cost developments.
In this way, our rates remain as accurate and market-conform as possible.
This fuel surcharge applies to road transport, including pre- and on-carriage of sea freight shipments. This applies to both Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL).
