Job title: Sr. IT Developer – eDC, Commercial Applications & Integration (NOC 21232)

Term: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: CAD$100,000-112,000

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The eDC Development team develop applications for DSV’s proprietary Order Management System – eDC, (core-customer-facing applications). This role brings large application to the next level, adding new features and modernizing existing ones. The role requires to work with other teams and stakeholders located around the globe.
• Provide subject matter expertise in DSV’s Order Management information system (electronic Distribution Centre), owning, designing, developing and writing code for system improvements following Agile methodologies;
• By acting as technical expert and resource to Super Users, assess systems requirements and processes to ensure they meet company standards and user requirements;
• Identify areas for data quality improvements and help to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies;
• Maintain a clean, scalable codebase and adhere to Test Driven Development (TDD);
• Identify automation opportunities and work towards improving issue resolution within SLA;
• Data governance tools management and new feature enhancements to support data governance functions and improve user experience;
• Collaborate with the scrum team to translate business requirements into the product roadmap, EPICs, and sprint backlog;
• Provide leadership and mentoring to of the members of the team;
• Plan deliverables\roadmaps and communicate regular progress status to leadership.
• Perform assigned tasks to support DSV meets its objectives and targets regarding quality, health, safety, and environment and follow all requirements as set out in the DSV Quality Health Safety Environment policy.
• Staff are required to ensure that their day-to-day activities embrace sustainability, Health and safety therefore reducing the impact upon the environment, supporting the communities we work in and reducing incidents in the workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
• Professional master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline
• 10+ years of frontend and backend development experience with leading technologies
Language and Computer Skills
• English is the principal language for this position, additional languages may be required in other locations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.
• Microsoft Office suite Demonstrated experience with .Net8 C#, MSSQL, Angular 15+, NodeJS, Docker, Azure, Kubernetes, microservices, CI/CD Pipelines
• Mastery of Typescript and JavaScript
• Experience with third part UI controls preferably KendoUI
• Strong experience with version control systems (Git)
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins
• Demonstrated expertise in Application transformations (.Net/monolithic applications into containerized newer microservices, Kubernetes)
• Experience in developing and maintaining Purchase Order Management systems for a logistics company or similar
• Domain knowledge in PO orchestration
