As an Analysis Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing a team of business analysts dedicated to modelling, data analysis, and visualization within our European groupage network. You will engage with a range of projects and key stakeholders in the DSV organization, driving our network's analytical excellence.
Join an ambitious Network Team
As part of the Network Team in the DSV Road division located at our headquarters in Hedehusene or in our German Office in Krefeld, you will lead a diverse group of specialists with varied backgrounds, both operational and technically qualified. You will collaborate with both local colleagues and as part of a larger European team, ensuring our analytical strategies align with operational goals.
Help build a better groupage transport network
In this position, you will have the opportunity to oversee international network projects, working with the operational team to enhance our analytical competencies and capabilities continuously. As the Analysis Manager, you will take charge of leading your team in executing analytical tasks related to our groupage network projects and drive internal projects to develop and improve network capabilities.
Your tasks will include:
- Lead and manage a team of business analysts in executing optimization tasks within our Road network.
- Oversee and contribute to analytical work related to network projects.
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of master data structures and content including a Digital Twin
- Guide your team in communicating complex analysis results in a simple, clear, and concise manner.
- Drive the development and maintenance of current and new data analysis tools and services – including specialist software.
- Serve as the go-to liaison and support hub regarding Groupage Data for our European clusters and country organizations, strengthening our network connections.
An Analytical Leader Passionate About Operational Challenges
The ideal candidate holds a degree in industrial engineering, data science, supply chain management, transport and logistics, operations research, or another relevant field with a mathematical and analytical focus. They are a team player with a strong drive, take initiative, and thrive in a dynamic environment. They are meticulous and motivated to understand and address operational challenges.
In addition to these qualities, we are looking for a candidate with the following:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar position.
- Advanced Logistics/SCM Know-How is necessary.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in data processing using tools like MS Excel, Python, SQL, or others.
- Extensive experience in data analysis and visualization.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent communication in English, both written and verbal.
- Skilled in confidently leading presentations and meetings, you bring a commanding presence to every fact-based discussion.
- Familiarity with or experience in network optimisation, location modelling or transport network design is an advantage.
- Travel activities 15%.
