Impact processes and systems across DSV Air & Sea 

You’ll join Global Operations & Business Change Management (BCM) within DSV Air & Sea. We define, plan and implement various change projects in the Air & Sea organisation – changes related to anything from data quality and process improvement to strategy projects and digitalisation. 

 

We are currently working on increasing the use of spot quotes from CargoWise One and implementing the use of electronic bills of lading on sea freight. We also define and monitor microservices development to meet specific business agreements, such as the sea freight profit share. 

 

“Digitalisation is a relatively new area with a lot of strategic focus – and that’s just one of the areas we impact. We’re quite central to the processes and systems of Air & Sea, so you’ll really get to witness the effects of your projects,” elaborates Christian.

More specifically, you’ll collaborate with four other freight forwarders working from Horsens, Hedehusene, Hamburg and Stuttgart (and we imagine you will be joining our colleague in Hedehusene or Horsens). In addition, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders such as staff and management in Air & Sea countries, Global IT, various Group functions and external suppliers. 

 

“One day, you might have a full day of meetings. On other days, you’ll spend time focusing on your own projects. Within the team, we all have a good degree of freedom to plan our days while at the same time enjoying all the benefits of working closely together,” says Christian.

 

Your main tasks will include: 

  • Defining, analysing and optimising Air & Sea business rules 
  • Defining and managing projects related to operational best practices, Air & Sea strategy, data quality and digitalisation 
  • Representing the Air & Sea division in forums and workgroups as well as towards various internal stakeholders
  • Participating in the management of CargoWise One milestones and other settings that require global governance and a global approach 

 

Bring your skills to the table 

First and foremost, you are pragmatic and have a strong analytical sense. This allows you to study business processes and develop improvement suggestions. 

 

You also need good stakeholder management skills, as no changes exist in a vacuum. Drawing on your experience and industry knowledge, you can engage in discussions and conversations with colleagues from different functions. 

 

Additionally, you bring: 

  • A good understanding of the Air & Sea business 
  • Experience as a freight forwarder 
  • The ability to work independently (also on more significant projects) 
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge of CargoWise One 
  • Excellent communication skills – you speak and write English effortlessly
