Are you ready to help build our new data governance framework and bring clarity to complex data landscapes? Join us as the driving force for DSV Air & Sea in our Enterprise Data Platform initiatives.

In this key role, you will have the chance to dive into large-scale data sets and play a crucial role in structuring and governing this data as we embark on a data-driven journey.

“You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the future of data governance within Air & Sea. As we are just beginning to work intensively with data governance in this part of the organisation, your input and ideas will have a real impact,” explains Christian Høgh Andersen, Director of Global Operations & Business Change Management.

Make an impact in a newly established role

You become part of Global Operations & Business Change Management (BCM) within DSV Air & Sea. We define, plan, and implement various change projects in the Air & Sea organisation – changes related to anything from data quality and process improvement to strategy projects and digitalisation.

You will join us in a specialist role as the team's data expert, however, you can also look forward to collaborating with peers in similar roles across DSV.

“We’re a team of 5 structured freight forwarding enthusiasts. While we may not be experts in your field, we're always ready to help where we can, and we pride ourselves on clear, straightforward communication,” Christian explains.

Take responsibility for our data processes

As our new data product owner, you will streamline business and master data processes, establish data governance forums, and lead productive meetings with a wide range of stakeholders. You will split your time between active participation in meetings and deep-diving into data models to ensure they are managed efficiently and effectively.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Overseeing the business use, decisions, and evolution of data products, prioritising use cases, and maintaining a data product roadmap.
  • Collaborating with EDP (Enterprise Data Platform) to ensure accurate conceptional and logical data modelling.
  • Participating in testing of reports and data models.
  • Maintaining compliance and security standards for data, including classification and governance policies.
  • Keeping documentation, communication, models, metadata etc. up to date.
  • Gathering feedback from data product users and consumers to drive continuous improvement.
  • Working with the BCM department and the Air & Sea organisation on projects related to transactional data quality improvements and being a backup to the data quality manager.

Data governance expertise

We are open to your background, but it is important that you are a fast learner and adept at stakeholder management, enabling you to understand our complex and fast-moving organisation. It is also important that you have strong technical and analytical skills.

Additionally, you bring:

  • A strong initiative as you never shy back from taking the lead
  • Strong Skills in Data Product Management.
  • The ability to work independently (also on more significant projects)
  • Strong IT skills especially MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills – you speak and write English effortlessly

Familiarity with freight forwarding, Power BI development, and/or CargoWise One is a plus, but not required.
