Welcome to Data & Information Architecture 

Joining Business Continuity Management at our HQ in Hedehusene, you will become a vital member of our Data & Information Architecture team. Here, 5 colleagues are working together to create a new, global data model that is to be used and implemented end-2-end across our entire organisation.

This new shared data model will thus set the stage for how we operate within DSV, and together with your new colleagues, you will be playing a pivotal role in its creation.

Create a new data model

As the senior information architect, you will have the primary task of creating, designing, and documenting our new data models, ensuring that we follow an agile process. Among other things, this involves engaging with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the accuracy of the model.

In addition, you will actively support our organisation, providing guidance and advice on all aspects related to the data model. Thus, as the advocate for the new model, you will play a pivotal role in steering and influencing its adoption. 

More specifically, your daily tasks will be to:

• Define and document DSV’s global conceptual and logical data model
• Analyse business domains and processes and incorporate them into the data model
• Help steer the data model through the organisation by presenting it to stakeholders and collaborating with the development teams assigned to implement it
• Ensure alignment with the industry standards and the information architecture domain’s best practices
• Support the data strategy work from the information architecture end

Experienced information architect with great communication skills

You are a great communicator and an adept problem-solver ready to tackle this task head-on. Interacting with a myriad of stakeholders, you know how to navigate an organisation at all levels. Also, you know your way around evaluating information, identifying key issues, and formulating conclusions.

We also imagine that you:

• Bring a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, or similar
• Have documented experience in information architecture and data modelling at a corporate level
• Have a solid understanding of master data management, data cataloguing, and data governance
• Know the domain’s best practices and industry standards

Experience within logistics and transportation is an advantage, but not a requirement – likewise, you are one step ahead of the game if you are certified in data modelling or information architecture (ex. CDM, CDMP, DCAM, etc.).
