To join our dynamic Global MLOps Platform team, we are seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer with a strong technical foundation and a passion for building scalable, reliable data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both modern infrastructure tools and large-scale data processing frameworks.

Skills requirements

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, reliable data platforms that support our organisation’s global operations. Your expertise will enable high-performance data processing, infrastructure management, and seamless orchestration of workflows.

Must-have skills:

  • Workflow orchestration:

    • Experience with workflow orchestrators such as Apache Airflow, Prefect, Luigi, or equivalent DAG orchestration systems.

  • Software engineering:

    • Strong programming experience in Python, with a focus on clean code practices and modular design.

    • Expertise in building, refactoring, and managing large-scale CI/CD pipelines.

  • Data processing:

    • In-depth knowledge of data processing principles and frameworks such as Apache Beam, PySpark, or Databricks.

    • Ability to design and optimize workflows for distributed data systems.

  • Infrastructure and orchestration:

    • Proficiency in container orchestration with Kubernetes (K8s).

    • Hands-on experience with Helm and Argo Workflows.


Nice-to-have skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Databricks and experience guiding transitions to Databricks-based workflows.

  • Familiarity with data pipeline frameworks such as Kedro.

  • Knowledge of managing and migrating ML model registries and supporting inference graph workflows.

  • Experience with Istio and Cilium for service meshes.

  • Experience with Prometheus and Grafana for observability.


Soft skills:
