The Enterprise Data Management Team
With this position, you will be joining the exciting and growing Data Management (EDM) Team within DSV Corporate Development. We are based in our international headquarters in Hedehusene, Denmark, and you will have the opportunity to expand your skills and exposure through driving and owning DSV’s Transport Enterprise Data Service, a strategic data capability with enormous value to business and IT.
Within the department, we drive the Data Management practice across the organisation, including Data Architecture, Data Modelling, Data Quality Management, Data Governance, and Metadata Management. We drive the creation and roll-out of a strategic Enterprise Data Platform, provisioning Enterprise Data to DSV’s operational and analytical consumers, and the creation of Transport Enterprise Data Service will be an important component of the Enterprise Data Platform.
We expect you to work 20 hours a week, preferably as two full days in the office. We can accommodate exam periods. However, flexibility is appreciated on both ends.
The Data Product Owner role
The DPO defines what success looks like from a business perspective, identifying goals and ensuring that the product meets the needs of its users, prioritizing work and making sure that the data product adds value to the business.
In other words, you will have no shortage of exciting and enriching activities to help you expand your skillset and learn a lot in a short time.
What you will be doing
As a student assistant within Enterprise Data Management, your prime responsibilities will involve the following tasks:
- Drive the design, implementation, and roll-out of the Transport EDS.
- Engage with business and EDM team to ensure that functional and non-functional requirements are captured and documented.
- Engage with IT to oversee the implementation process and provide steer and guidance to the IT team.
- Creation of the Data Quality Standard for the Transport EDS, including test scenarios, data quality rules, and provide data quality requirements to IT.
- Oversee the population of Transport metadata into DSV’s data catalog (Colibra).

- You are currently studying for your Master or PhD in Computer Science or similar.
- Are well-structured and organised in your approach to handling different tasks.
- Are friendly and outgoing, with a can-do and service minded attitude.
- You are well versed with the Microsoft Office 365 package.
- Are naturally curious with a strong willingness to learn.
- You speak and write English fluently.
