Job Req Number:  92381
Time Type: Full Time

Would you like to play a key role in modernising financial and operational systems in a global company? And are you keen to work with automating and optimising workflows using VBA, Power BI, and Microsoft tools?

At DSV, we are taking our finance systems to the next level. We have therefore created this new role, where we need a technically skilled and curious mind to drive this transformation. You will work with new technology and collaborate with finance and IT professionals across multiple countries in a role with great potential.

“If you have great technical flair, thrive on the prospect of making a true impact, and have a thirst for knowledge, you will find yourself in a team of specialists with a wealth of experience – and a company with great opportunities,” says Michael Skovby Nielsen, Director, Controlling Air & Sea.

Join a collaborative and diverse controlling team

Based in Hedehusene, you will be part of our dynamic Controlling & Reporting team that blends financial expertise with some of the newest technology and systems. We work across 10 countries, supporting our business units on a range of controlling and reporting tasks. The team is part of our DK Finance unit - a diverse and energetic group of 40+ colleagues in Hedehusene, ranging from recent graduates to experienced professionals.

“It’s a vibrant environment where fresh insights from younger colleagues blend with the expertise of experienced team members, fostering strong collaboration and knowledge-sharing,” Michael continues.

With a brand-new office on the way - featuring great facilities like fitness areas and paddle courts - you will be in an inspiring environment that supports both professional and personal growth.

Ensure optimised workflows, processes, and systems

In this role, you will be a key player in modernising and optimising financial and operational systems at DSV. You will work with automation, data extraction, and reporting, ensuring efficient workflows and smarter decision-making across our finance functions. Collaborating with both finance and IT teams, you will help bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

Since this is a new role, you will have a great deal of influence on your tasks – which we imagine will include:

  • Enhancing and automating existing Excel VBA-based tools and workflows
  • Implementing and optimising Power BI reports and dashboards
  • Streamlining financial processes using Microsoft tools like Teams, Planner, and Workflows
  • Supporting the integration of SAP Analytics Cloud and other reporting solutions
  • Acting as a key technical advisor for finance teams across multiple countries

“You will be a sought-after resource – in fact, you already are. And in time, we expect the area to expand, giving you the opportunity to grow in the role, if you have the ambition and talent,” Michael elaborates.

Curious and tech-savvy with a problem-solving mindset

We are looking for someone with a strong technical mindset, a proactive approach, and a natural curiosity for automation and process optimisation. Furthermore, you enjoy working with a wide range of people – from different nationalities and professional levels to personalities and seniority.

You do not necessarily need to check every box– what matters most is your willingness to learn, explore new solutions, and drive technical improvements in a financial setting.

We imagine that you may have:

  • A technical background, such as IT, engineering, or another relevant field (finance knowledge is a plus but not a requirement)
  • Strong skills in Excel VBA and a general flair for coding and automation
  • Experience or interest in working with Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Microsoft workflows
  • A problem-solving attitude and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, enabling you to work effectively across finance and IT teams
  • English proficiency and an understanding of the Danish language – though the latter is merely an advantage
