We have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Transport Planner / Operations Assistant to join our Haulage Team in Immingham! This is an entry level role where full training will be provided, however if you do have experience in a Transport office, this is advantageous.

As a Haulage Operations Assistant, you would play a fundamental part in our business by:
- Learning all aspects of the haulage planning department
- Liasing with HGV drivers via telephone and Face to Face
- Liaising with DSV colleagues in other departments across the UK and abroad.
- You will manage delivery / collection paperwork, ensuring you accurately update all required operating systems to feed to other departments.
- Assisting the Transport Planners with queries and tasks.
- Assisting the Driver Debrief desk and updating operating systems
- You would also be given training to enable you to support the Transport Planners where any cover was required.
Skills Required
- A hardworking, self- starter who has a good understanding of the European road freight industry (desired but not necessary as training is provided)
- Excellent interpersonal & administration skills with good accuracy
- Ability to communicate at all levels within the business
- Excellent processing & time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
