BRIEF OVERVIEW
The purpose of the role is to support the UK operations team with implementation, operation and service of DSV’s investment into automation. Based at the Mercia Park site the role will see the successful candidate being a key point of contact for the AutoStore for multiple levels within the business. Working mainly with the operations and IT teams they will be supporting in day-to-day operation, development of the system, new business implementation and potential further support within the DSV AutoStore community.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance of the AutoStore installations.
Working both with preventive and emergency servicing of robots and ports as well as repairs, on-site troubleshooting and system diagnosis.
Carry out client analyses via data and performances in the AutoStore installations.
Training the various warehouse departments in both eManager and AutoStore.
Support and execution of service projects, assignments, new installation of systems etc.
Analyse, survey, design and execute work organization/flow layouts for both Inbound and Outbound departments at the AutoStore ports.
Continuous improvement of the AutoStore environments and processes.
Collaborate with and improve work skills of the AutoStore Super Users on UK sites.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Good communication skills
Good organization skills and effective time management
Successfully completed vocational training/school education in a mechanical, electrical engineering, automation or similar
Experience in the assembly, commissioning and maintenance of the automated systems with a focus on logistics, robots and container conveyor technology
Experience in technical service and troubleshooting.
Technical interest and a desire to learn more.
Capable to work both individually and together with colleagues from other departments.
High willingness to travel, sometimes also to other European countries.
Knowledge of using MS Office
Knowledge of the AutoStore solution, eManager software and CargoWrite WMS is advantageous.
