Operations Assistant, Sea Freight Export

OBJECTIVES

• Handle daily operation activities in Sea Freight Export Department

JOB DUTIES

• Manage booking from shipper and do communication with Commercial and destination office for shipment approval

• Open Job file in CW1 system and entry mandatory data into CW1 system following the DQ requirement and Customer SOP

• Do checking buying and selling rate

• Do booking submission to shipping line and following up for the booking confirmation

• Do coordination with Domestic Department for cargo collection if required by Customer

• Do coordination with CCL Department for Customs Clearance including PEB issuance and Port clearance if required by Customer

• Submit final shipping instruction and VGM to shipping line

• Send Instruction to Manifest Staff for Manifest submission and follow up for BC 1.1

• Prepare document HBL, MBL and FCR if required

• Issued invoice and dispatch to Customer following the agreed requirement

• Post Vendor invoice into CW1

• Upload document into CW1

• Post PRS/OHC and send pre alert to DSV destination office

• All relevant duties assigned by Superior

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Sea Transportation Management, Logistics or any related disciplines
• Minimum 2 years of experience in same position
• Basic knowledge in Freight Forwarding Industry for handling Sea Freight Export including shipment planning, documentation, and billing
• Good understanding of BC 3.0 and BC 3.3
• Good understanding of LCL Gateway concept
• Have a good relationship with various carrier, and CFS warehouse
• Good knowledge of Dangerous goods handling will be an advantage
• Able to work multi-task and meeting tight deadline
• Good personality & communication skill
• Good in English (written and spoken)
• Preferably experienced using Cargowise-1 system
