Purpose of the Position: 

The Group Process Specialist - COMD is responsible for setting up of the rules and governance structure around the COMD processes and ensuring consistently high data quality of controlling master data, to pre-defined targets.  Controlling Master Data (COMD) consists of profit centres, cost centres, their hierarchies, departments, local key customers and locations.


Key Tasks

 

Documentation:

• Create, implement & maintain standards, processes, data dictionaries and other documentation

• Identify, plan and mitigate risks to COMD processes


Data Quality Monitoring & Maintenance:

• Define, create and implement qualitative and quantitative measures / tools to proactively manage data quality of COMD

• Identify / analyse root causes that result in lower data quality and swiftly implement long term corrective actions


Education & Training:

• Conduct training sessions in countries, ISSC, other relevant stakeholders - to ensure COMD governance is followed


Continuous Improvement:

• Conduct ISSC audits to ensure COMD governance is followed, utilize findings to create an improvement pipeline and systematically implement improvements

• Periodically review COMD processes and implement improvements

• Maintain lessons learnt and utilize findings to create an improvement pipeline and systematically implement improvements

• Collaborate with other GPO/Ss to drive efficiency and streamlining of the processes General:

• Stakeholder management, communication, cross functional collaboration with stakeholders such as ISSC, countries, downstream system owners, IT, compliance etc

• Lead various projects related to master data

• Ad-hoc requests from upper management

• Professional skills development by participation in training and constant self-education


Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Process working

 

Functional Knowledge

• Must have experience with either R2R and / or SAP ERP and / or accounting

• Nice to have experience mapping and improving processes utilizing various methodologies

• Basic knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma for continuous improvement

• Basic knowledge of how to plan, prioritize, manage risks / issues

Educational background / Work experience

• Must have experience with Process management - mapping, descriptions, improvement

• Experience working abroad and within corporate environment required

• University degree or equivalent

• Project management, Lean, Six Sigma experience is an advantage

 

Language skills

• English fluent

 

Computer Literacy

• Microsoft Office especially Visio, Excel and Powerpoint. MS Project is an advantage

• In addition, experience with Power BI, JIRA, SharePoint, SAP ERP, SAP MDG is an advantage
