As a Global Tender Support Specialist, you play a proactive role within our global road sales department. Within this role, you have "the best of both worlds". Translating data into a (winning) business case. You work on it!
 
How do you do this? Every new incoming global road tender will be assigned to a global tender analyst based on experience, complexity, and availability. You start analysing and summarizing the customer's tender requirements. You discuss and align on the tender approach with the global sales lead and invite the countries in scope. You manage the timeline between global and local and process customer feedback and make sure the results of the tender are registered in CRM Microsoft Dynamics

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Analyse the transport requirements from the customer, based on the customer tender documentation
  • Analyse the transport flows in the tender and overviews on volumes and existing turnover 
  • Align with Commercial Manager on the rate collection approach and successful tender strategy
  • Request the necessary rates at the involved countries 
  • Secure / manage the timely delivery of the rates by the countries
  • Check and validate the received input on completeness, consistency and accuracy
  • Calculate transport cost budgets based on the rates and the available shipment profile
  • Update CRM Microsoft Dynamics during the complete tender process
  • Acting as single point of contact for the customer, but also for your colleagues in other countries. Naturally, you do this in collaboration with the Commercial Manager.

 

Requirements:

 

 

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in the Road logistics environment
  • Fluent knowledge of English language both written and spoken
  • Bachelor degree (Economy, Logistic)
  • Strong computer skills – MS Excel
  • Analytical thinking
  • Ability to work under time pressure
  • Accuracy and conscientiousness
  • Communication skills and pro-active attitude
  • Knowledge of Python/SQL is a positive point
