Do you want to be part of configuring and design new solutions in new Kafka setup? Do you believe value is best created in cross-functional teams?

You will be an integral part of configuring the Kafka setup in a newly established team that will consist of Kafka engineers/developers, a business analyst, a solution architect and a product owner. The plan is to grow the team in the future. Requirements will be matured in close cooperation with business experts and together we will create the digital products of tomorrow based on IoT and IIoT data.

Join a team focused creating new, innovative, and future-proof software

You will join the Operational Events Platform and Digital Warehouse Twin team. The purpose of our team is to build advanced products that create direct business value for DSV’s divisions.

The use cases we will solve will have a high degree of complexity, several integrations (not only via API), near real-time data processing, a need for high availability, vertical and horizontal scalability, and an extremely high volume of transactions. As there is no legacy code/environment, you will be part of designing, establishing and developing almost everything from scratch.

Our new team will focus on cooperation and getting things done. For the team it will be: “It is not the role that matters, it is the tasks that we solve”. We will work closely together in flat hierarchy, and we should always focus on having fun while still delivering in the right quality.

Build high-quality software that scales and is future-proof

As our first Kafka engineer, you will use the right tools in the toolbox to solve the issues at hand. You will engage in solution architecture discussions, configuring the Kafka setup, create new Kafka solutions and maybe also some development, if this is within your area of expertise.

Examples of tasks you will be doing:

• Configure the Kafka setup to fulfill the business requirements
• Design, develop and implement Kafka solutions
• Monitor and enhance the Kafka setup to ensure optimal performance and stability with the Kafka infrastructure engineers
• Integrating with a large amount of different data sources it can be robots, drones, IoT, IIoT devices etc.
• Design and develop ksql
• And much more…
