As Senior Manager,  Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE), you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development, implementation, and management of QHSE programs and initiatives across the organization.

This role involves ensuring compliance with relevant program and country regulations, fostering a culture of quality and safety, and driving continuous improvement in QHSE performance

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive QHSE strategy aligned with the Organizations objectives and values.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the QHSE team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
  • Design and implement quality management systems, processes, and standards to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services and products.
  • Lead efforts to achieve and maintain relevant quality certifications and accreditations.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics and drive improvements based on data-driven insights.
  • Develop, implement, and communicate health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines that comply with local and international regulations.
  • Lead safety programs, initiatives, and campaigns to minimize workplace accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and proactively address them.
  • Develop and execute environmental management strategies, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Monitor environmental performance, track key metrics, and recommend actions to minimize the organization's environmental footprint.
  • Stay current with applicable QHSE regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with relevant QHSE laws and regulations, including maintaining required certifications and permits.
  • Lead investigations into QHSE incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to establish effective incident reporting and response protocols.
  • Develop and deliver QHSE training programs for employees at all levels, enhancing their awareness and understanding of QHSE principles.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement by encouraging employees to participate in relevant training and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote QHSE initiatives, share best practices, and establish mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Engage with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and customers to stay informed about emerging QHSE trends and requirements.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure QHSE performance across the organization.
  • Prepare regular QHSE reports for senior management, highlighting achievements, areas for improvement, and progress against goals.

 

 

Educational Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, etc.). Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional certifications in QHSE (e.g., CQI, CQE, NEBOSH, ISO lead auditor, etc.) are highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in QHSE management, preferably in the logistics, transportation, or related industries.
