Job Posting Title: Material Handler, Industrial Cleaner - 88820 
Time Type: Full Time

Schedule: M-F 7:00AM - 4:00PM with occasional overtime
Pay Range: $19.00 - $19.50 Hourly

 

Under general supervision, the Industrial Cleaner is responsible for handling, disinfecting and cleaning parts.  This role involves performing a variety of semi-skilled tasks, which may include operating various tools and light-to-medium equipment. While the work is generally performed independently, it must adhere to established policies, procedures, and techniques, and it is subject to general or direct supervision, depending on the situation. Industrial Cleaners are accountable for the safe and efficient operation equipment and are expected to perform all assigned duties. 

As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality.  Associates are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Handling, disinfecting and cleaning parts according to SOP’s.  

  • Report any faulty or damaged items to your supervisor. 

  • Proper disposal of waste chemicals and materials within safety regulations  

  • Perform physically repetitive tasks: work in a fast-paced environment, bending, lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching, scrubbing, prolonged standing and walking. 

  • Proper protective gear, including a full hazmat suit and full-face respirator is mandatory 

  • Floors must be maintained daily to ensure cleanliness, free of dirt and debris, obstacles, and trip/slip hazards.   

  • Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.  Conduct daily “pre-operating” inspections and perform minor maintenance on the equipment intended for use.  M 

  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment 

Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance 

  • All Associates are responsible for executing all safety protocols and will accomplish all job tasks in a manner that promotes safety.  

  • Associates are responsible for the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility and are required to maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area and assist in security of the warehouse.    

  • Associates will comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS Standards.
