BASIC MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE

Matric

Warehouse and Logistics Diploma or Project Management Diploma or Supplychain Management Diploma or enrolled in any of them.

 

Advanced Computer Literacy Level in  MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook

 

Minimum Requirements

5 years' experience and highly effective working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and principles.

Proficient in Excel for data management and reporting .

 

Job-related Requirements

Must be able to travel.

Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in industry with in depth experience in all job-related requirements listed below:

Supply chain and logistics; Operations: Extensive knowledge and hands on skill related to Inbound, Stock Management, Outbound / Order Fulfilment, Return processes and effective Packaging; Stock Management includes: Audits (perpetual and wall to wall), SKU Master maintenance, SKU Consolidation, volumetric and product categorization), Space Utilization & Density Measurement, Pick-face Replenishment Strategies .

Data; Capabilities to take Raw data and convert it to executable data, with project plan, print plan and distribution plan.

Distribution; Manage the distribution of the clients stock to final destination. Including resources. E.G. Staff, Vehicles etc.

Problem Solving: Effective Root Cause Analysis, Problem Solving and implementation of Corrective and Preventative Measures;

Management: Must be able to do all managerial functions (Planning, Organizing, Leading, Controlling, Monitoring) independently, effectively and reliably;

Communication: Must communicate effectively (written and verbal) to manage and meet both internal and external customer expectations

Compliance:Must ensure full site compliance, including the following: DSV Policies, Regulations, Work Instructions, Maintenance Schedule and Local Authority requirements;

Stress and Conflict Management: Must have effective techniques and/or skills to manage conflict, cope with stress and work effectively under constant pressure;

Quality Management and CIP: Knowledge and experience of QMS such as ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, as well as Continuous Improvement Processes and Risk Management;

Commercial; Ensure tight cost control (incl. all facets of procurement)

HR and IR: Must be able to effectively lead, train, develop, performance measure and performance manage all subordinates to ensure high morale, productivity and retention. This includes advanced knowledge of Industrial Relations and Processes

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To effectively measure and manage the outsourced services to ensure efficiency and contract adherence in terms of client relations, operational performance, commercial and financial performance, people management and development, quality management and continual improvement initiatives.

Work closely with site Managers (Off site Clients) to achive the following:

Prepare data Set

Prepare printplan, pick and pack plan and distribution plan

Accurate recieveing, picking, packing and distribution of goods.

Accurate inventory accuracy

Implement affective CIP and drive quality standards.

Achieve Sigma targets set out By Branch Manager

Achieve audit targets set out by Branch Manager

Positive EBIT results

100% Execution as per agreed project plans

Travel to Potchefstroom and other remote sites on a regular basis during project times.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Client and suppliers liaison.

Manage daily stock receiving and repacking targets

Manage bin maintenance

Mange Picking team to achieve strict picking targets

Resolve queries as soon as it arises.

Manage costs and productivity within the operation to ensure that operating efficiency and effectiveness is met.

Identify opportunities and risks within the operation that may impact the operation and ability to deliver commitments.

Managing people’s performance and growth.

Controlling individuals in competitive work situations

Issuing directions in an emergency or unexpected situation Giv

ing instructions to workers

Directly supervising people at work

Supervising to ensure compliance with laws/regulations

Maintaining a physical presence to monitor work outcomes

Administering formal tests to people

Investigating all stock issues.

Incident investigation

Risk awareness

“5 Why” and “CAPA” investigations and reporting to client.

Conducting of facility and equipment inspections and resolving any issues that may arise.

Controlling and managing all stock rejects and returns to suppliers.

Manage daily sufficient man-power is available for each working day.

Planning, organising, directing, delegating, controlling and monitoring all aspects of production. Form part of the Health and Safety Team

Planning of collection and ensuring daily collections are done during project

Proactively monitor deliveries
