DSV signs for 200,000 m2 at Logistiek Park Moerdijk
The Breeam-certified expansion in Moerdijk enables DSV to achieve our growth sustainably. It is expected that construction can start in the autumn and that the site will be active in 2023.
DSV has signed for the development of more than 200,000 m2 of high-quality storage and distribution, on a plot of more than 34 hectares in total. The recently awarded number 1 logistics service provider is a well-known name in the Moerdijk port and industrial estate and already has two branches from which DSV serves many customers in the world. It is expected that construction can start in the autumn and that the DSV site will be active in 2023.
A long period of preparations and legal procedures preceded the final development of the Logistics Park. That makes the news surrounding this announcement extra festive for us. DSV is a highly valued company in the port and industrial estate and provides many jobs in the region and appealing customers,
said Ferdinand van den Oever, director of Port of Moerdijk.
At the moment the ground is being prepared for construction and we are working behind the scenes on things like permits, organizing the utilities, designing the internal track and communicating with the environment. We expect construction to start in the fall,

Logistiek Park Moerdijk
Logistiek Park Moerdijk offers space for large-scale storage and distribution. It focuses specifically on value added logistics; logistics companies that add value to the product and employment. The construction of the Logistics Park means a significant expansion of the port and industrial area. This will give Moerdijk a strong boost as a multimodal hub. The business park is about 200 hectares in size, of which 140 hectares can be allocated. The location has multimodal access by road, rail and water and is located right next to the port area and the Klaverpolder junction (A16/A17).
Port of Moerdijk is the fourth and most inland seaport in the Netherlands. The open connection with the sea and the maximum freedom of choice for shortsea, inland shipping, rail, road or pipelines bring European destinations within reach. Thanks to its strategic location, Port of Moerdijk is a logistics hotspot par excellence and an important hub for sustainable process industry. It is the 2nd economic engine of North Brabant and an important source of employment.
