As an assistant transport planner, you’re ready to push boundaries, both literally and figuratively. Due to the growth of our Special Services department, we are looking for multiple colleagues to join our team. No two days are the same, and together you’ll provide tailor-made solutions that make an impact.

You get it done

As an assistant transport planner, you’ll support the team and learn the ins and outs of the job. You’ll play a crucial role in the logistics process by planning and coordinating shipments: you’re on it.

How you do this? We’ll teach you how to carry out transport efficiently. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the trips are as profitable as possible, also assisting in finding return shipments and additional pick-ups. You maintain close communication with colleagues in the departments of dispatch, customer service, and own fleet, which makes collaboration efficient. Additionally, you play an important role in building and maintaining a network, both internally and externally. You achieve all this by:

• supporting the planning of shipments for our own trailers, ensuring efficiency with minimal kilometers and maximum load capacity;
• proactively communicating and providing updates to customers and partners, as well as with your drivers;
• following up on shipments and identifying any irregularities related to loading, unloading, and delivering shipments.

You bring

• do you already have some knowledge of transport or a background in logistics? Great! If not, we’re happy to teach you the ropes;
• our drivers also work weekends, for example, to the UK. A few times a year, you’ll be on-call for escalations during the weekend. Of course, this comes with a nice compensation;
• a good command of both Dutch and English is essential. If you also speak a bit of German, that’s a nice bonus!
