How you do this? As a business controller, you work closely with the director of business control and play a key role in further professionalizing our business control organization. You ensure sharp, reliable reporting, elevate forecasting to the next level, and deliver in-depth analyses that guide decision-making.

In addition, you actively contribute to the development of our freight activities within Contract Logistics, where your financial insights directly support growth and optimization. You keep a firm grip on performance by providing clear insights into numbers, trends, and forecasts. You monitor financial health, identify deviations, and take timely corrective action. With your precise analyses, you translate data into concrete actions at operational, tactical, and strategic levels. You collaborate closely with internal teams and the Shared Service Center, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines. You achieve this by:

• delivering timely and accurate financial reporting; 
• preparing and analyzing forecasts, budgets, and month-end closings; 
• conducting cost and performance analyses, with a focus on our freight activities; 
• identifying risks and opportunities and translating them into improvement initiatives; 
• supporting investment proposals and strategic projects;
• optimizing processes, strengthening internal controls, and performing audits.

You bring

• a completed higher professional education (HBO) in finance or administration with 1–2 years of experience in a similar role; 
• extensive knowledge of Excel, SAP, and a strong affinity for IT systems;
• strong communication skills in Dutch (B2) and English, both written and spoken.
