In this role, everything revolves around smooth cargo flows, clear agreements, and effective solutions. As a customer service specialist key accounts, you are the one who ensures operations run seamlessly: you’re on it.
How you do this? The European Control Tower is divided into several areas of expertise. Depending on your background, skills, and interests, you will take on a central role in one of our focus industries: technology, fashion, or chemicals. You support new customers with a smooth onboarding and strengthen long-term partnerships. To give you the right foundation, you’ll start with hands-on training in our freight forwarding departments. There, you will experience day-to-day operations firsthand, so you understand exactly how processes are structured and can provide professional support to customers from day one.
As the dedicated contact person for international clients, you make sure shipments are delivered on time and without issues. You act as the link between customers and internal teams, deal with delays or obstacles immediately, and work together with your colleagues to find the best solutions. You closely monitor lead times, track shipments, and ensure that all stakeholders are always kept up to date. You achieve this by:
• preparing reports and keeping logistics administration accurate and complete at all times;
- handling complaints and claims, ensuring swift and solution-oriented follow-up;
- identifying process deviations, analysing root causes, and initiating improvements;
- maintaining strong customer relationships, spotting opportunities and maximising them;
- collaborating with internal teams such as planning, sales, and cross-dock to ensure processes are fully aligned.

You bring
- passion for transport and logistics, which you can easily convey to clients and colleagues;
- experience in logistics or transport, for example as a customer service representative or planner;
- service-oriented mindset: you think in solutions, enjoy teamwork, and only finish once everything is perfectly arranged;
- strong interpersonal skills, a sense of humour, and the confidence to pick up the phone and act immediately;
- excellent command of Dutch and English to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues worldwide.
