In this role, you will focus on customers with complex logistics processes and support them in the areas of order and freight management. Are you looking for variety and substantive challenges within import, export, and cross trades? Then our ISC department (Intercontinental Supply Chain Solutions) is the right place for you. Together with a team of 9 experienced forwarding colleagues, you will work daily on smart logistics solutions and delivering a high level of service: You’re on it.

How you do this? As a medior forwarder, you will be responsible for the complete handling of complex import and export files. In addition, you actively contribute ideas for process improvements and support operational excellence within the team. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with the flexibility to partly work from home. With your knowledge and experience, you will play an important role in the further development of our ISC team. You achieve this by:

• coordinating complex shipments, you are responsible for the planning, booking, and handling of both import and export shipments. You work closely with internal teams and external partners and ensure all processes run smoothly according to the agreed SOPs with our clients; 
• managing, preparing, and monitoring documentation and compliance, you handle forwarding and customs documentation to ensure all processes comply with applicable laws and regulations; 
• acting as a proactive problem solver for our customers, you keep them informed about shortages, delays, or damages and come up with suitable solutions that work for all parties involved; 
• maintaining relationships and developing the network, you build and strengthen relationships with customers, overseas offices, and partners, while monitoring supplier performance. You will also participate in MBRs, contributing to the optimization of the entire supply chain;
• informing stakeholders, you ensure all relevant documents, information, and updates are shared on time with colleagues, agents, and branches, keeping processes efficient and transparent.

You bring

• you are proactive, solution-oriented, and energized by working in a dynamic environment; 
• experience in freight forwarding, supply chain, or order management is a strong advantage; 
• thanks to your experience, you are able to independently manage complex logistics files successfully; 
• at least 4 years of experience within ocean freight import and/or export forwarding;
• you communicate easily in both Dutch (minimum B1 level) and English, verbally and in writing.
