As a freight forwarder in our ocean freight department at Maastricht Airport, you’ll work daily with your own international key accounts. Of course, your colleagues will provide full training to ensure you can fully unburden your clients when it comes to ocean freight shipments. From the initial request to final invoicing. You’re responsible.

You get it done

You are the primary point of contact for your clients. You coordinate their shipments from A to Z and work closely with colleagues in Maastricht Airport, Dordrecht, and at international DSV locations. Thanks to your dedication and clear oversight, every transport process runs smoothly and efficiently: you’re on it. 

How you do this? You’re the key player in organising and coordinating ocean freight shipments. You’re in daily contact with customers, shipping lines, and international colleagues, ensuring the entire transport process runs seamlessly. You always keep an overview and ensure everything from booking to invoicing is handled accurately and on time. You achieve this by:

• independently handling and following up on transport requests, including booking shipments and preparing quotations;
• managing client files and proactively informing customers about the status of their shipments;
• processing and checking documents in the system and coordinating with shipping lines and (inter)national colleagues;
• organising onward transport and preparing the corresponding customs documentation and invoices.

You bring

• mbo + (secondary vocational) working and thinking level, preferably with a completed qualification in transport and logistics;
• relevant work experience in the logistics sector, for example in sea or air freight, and you know how to coordinate complex shipments efficiently;
• commercial skills, excellent prioritisation, and you thrive in a dynamic environment using various systems;
• fluency in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
