You get it done

As a key account manager within DSV’s Road Control Tower, you are the central point of contact for our most important customers. You operate at the intersection of commerce, operations and stakeholder management, ensuring that agreements are not only made, but actually work in practice: you’re on it. 

How you do this? Within our Control Tower, you represent DSV towards large strategic Road customers. You manage the full customer landscape: from contract agreements and SLAs to performance, escalations and growth initiatives. You act as the connecting link between the customer and internal stakeholders such as operations, finance, IT and commercial teams. You safeguard the balance between customer interests and operational feasibility and ensure alignment across all parties. You work both tactically and operationally, switch effortlessly between stakeholders and provide direction in an environment that is constantly evolving. You achieve this by:

  • managing and safeguarding contracts, SLAs and commercial agreements; 
  • coordinating rate management in close collaboration with pricing and tender teams; 
  • monitoring KPIs such as on-time performance, loading performance and reporting quality; 
  • leading MBRs and QBRs, also at senior management level on the customer side;
  • managing escalations and structurally improving customer performance.

You bring

  • at least 5–10 years of experience in transport, logistics, or account/contract management; 
  • in-depth knowledge of road transport and international logistics flows; 
  • experience managing strategic customer portfolios with complex stakeholder structures; 
  • strong analytical skills and insight into KPIs, performance and data (Excel required); 
  • persuasiveness, escalation awareness and the ability to set boundaries without damaging relationships;
  • excellent command of English (Dutch is a plus).
