The EU control tower focuses on the centralisation and professionalisation of processes, from order management to invoicing and data analysis, providing high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused services to our tech clients: you’re on it. 

How you do this? As manager EU control tower, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and optimising the department within the EU control tower that serves large and complex technology clients. You will be the main point of contact for these clients and act as their extension within DSV. In this role, you will ensure seamless collaboration between internal teams and international stakeholders, centralising and professionalising processes such as invoicing, data analysis, and order management. The goal is to deliver a high-quality, efficient, and customer-oriented service so our clients can always rely on consistent, reliable, and value-added solutions.

You develop and execute the strategy in line with the broader objectives of the EU control tower, providing direct leadership to senior team leads and being indirectly responsible for managing the team within the vertical technology. You monitor and manage KPIs and SLAs in collaboration with contract management, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Additionally, you analyse customer and market data and translate these insights into strategic decisions, improvement initiatives, and new propositions. You build and maintain strong customer relationships by actively participating in business reviews and act as an escalation point for complex issues.

You will play a critical role in identifying trends and developments in the technology sector and translating them into opportunities and risks for the organisation. You will also drive collaboration and synergy across different locations, including Venlo and Ede, and with international teams. By initiating process optimisation and standardisation across countries and divisions, you will contribute significantly to the professionalisation of the EU control tower. You will combine strategic insight, operational drive, and leadership to enhance both customer satisfaction and internal efficiency. You achieve this by:

• developing and implementing a clear strategy that aligns with the broader objectives of the EU control tower and meets the needs of large, complex technology clients;
• leading and further developing the team, focusing on talent development, succession planning, and performance management to ensure continuous quality and growth;
• proactively monitoring and improving SLAs, KPIs, and customer satisfaction in cooperation with contract management, and acting as the primary escalation point for complex client and operational issues.

You bring

• a bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in business administration, logistics, or supply chain management, with proven experience in customer service for large and complex clients;
• experience in leading and developing diverse teams, including talent development and performance management;
• insight into relevant market developments and proven experience in logistics or transport;
• excellent command of Dutch and English, with English as the working language within the EU control tower.
