Are you an experienced operations manager within logistics who is ready for the next step? For our location in ’s-Heerenberg, we are looking for a strong people manager and operational leader who can further grow, professionalise and elevate an already well-performing site.

Further developing a large-scale logistics operation within an international multi-client environment: you’re on it. At this multicultural site with many retail customers, you will have the opportunity to build further on a strong foundation focused on quality, structure and operational excellence.

How do you do this? As operations manager, together with your supervisors and team leaders, you manage a warehouse operation of 45,000 m2 with 250 to 350 employees. You are part of the local management team and report directly to the site manager. In this role, you combine strategic insight with a strong presence on the work floor. You achieve this by:

• leading, coaching and further developing supervisors and operational teams;
• monitoring KPI’s, productivity, quality, safety and customer agreements within a complex retail environment;
• initiating and leading improvement projects focused on further professionalising processes, teams and collaboration;
• working closely with customers, internal stakeholders and management to realise sustainable growth and high customer satisfaction.

You bring

• bachelor working and thinking level, combined with management experience within warehousing or contract logistics;
• experience in managing larger operational teams within a dynamic logistics environment;
• knowledge of KPI management, Lean methodologies, process optimisation and WMS systems;
• strong communication skills in both Dutch and English and the ability to get teams moving.
