Move forward as Project Specialist Fairs & Events at DSV in Utrecht or Amsterdam
Do you want to work on national and international fairs and events, coordinating complete logistics projects from A to Z? At DSV, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your organisational talent and logistics knowledge in an international and dynamic environment.
You get it done
DSV is the official logistics partner of RAI Amsterdam, Jaarbeurs Utrecht, and Ahoy Rotterdam. As a Project Specialist, you actively contribute to the organisation and execution of leading (international) fairs and events, ensuring top-level logistics every step of the way: you’re on it.
How you do this? As a project specialist fairs & events, you coordinate and oversee import and export shipments for exhibitors at national and international fairs and events. You ensure that all logistics processes from preparation to on-site execution and project completion run smoothly, efficiently, and in a controlled manner, working closely with colleagues across various DSV offices and other stakeholders.
In this role, you maintain close contact with clients, international offices, and external partners such as carriers and contractors. You monitor progress, quality, and costs of logistics operations and serve as the professional point of contact for all parties involved. Additionally, you support commercial activities by advising clients, developing transport solutions, and following up on sales leads. Your structured working methods and logistics expertise help ensure the successful completion of complex projects. You achieve this by:
- coordinating national and international fair logistics for exhibitors, including import and export shipments via road, air, and sea, transport documentation, and storage;
- supporting projects during the on-site phase and acting as a professional point of contact for exhibitors, stand builders, and event organisations;
- aligning and managing external parties such as carriers, contractors, and co-loaders, including monitoring quality and progress;
- maintaining regular contact with international DSV offices and agents to resolve logistics issues and client requests effectively;
- supporting commercial processes by advising clients, developing transport solutions, and following up on sales leads and related administration.
Your team stands out within DSV by its strong collaboration, informal yet professional atmosphere, and high level of commitment to each other and the projects. Within the Fairs & Events department, everyone’s expertise is used, and you work closely together on complex, international fair projects. The work is dynamic and varied, with clear peaks and troughs. Even during busy periods, there is attention to a healthy work-life balance through good coordination and teamwork, while quieter periods allow for preparation, recovery, and flexibility.
