You play a key role in strengthening the Operational Excellence culture within DSV Contract Logistics Netherlands.

You get it done

Within our Contract Logistics Business Unit, you act as senior operational excellence manager as the connecting link between sites, corporate staff departments in the Benelux and our global OE programmes. You are a crucial player in implementing these programmes, supporting local management teams and building a culture of continuous improvement: you’re on it. 

How you do this? As senior operational excellence manager, you work on strategic, site across improvement programmes and guide teams in achieving operational and cultural change. You work closely with BU management, site managers and our international OE organisations. You achieve this by:

• translating and rolling out global Operational Excellence programmes (including Xsite and Lean Six Sigma) into local strategies and site plans;
• initiating, guiding and delivering strategic improvement projects and cross site initiatives;
• embedding a culture of continuous improvement through training, workshops, coaching and identifying improvement potential (including via value stream mapping);
• implementing and maintaining operational standards within Contract Logistics, and encouraging knowledge sharing and best practices between sites;
• demonstrably improving performance through Lean Six Sigma by delivering Yellow Belt training, coaching Green Belts and executing complex Green/Black Belt projects.

You bring

• at least a bachelor’s degree (HBO level), preferably in logistics or business administration;
• 3–5 years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence or Lean Six Sigma;
• affinity with Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred; Black Belt experience is a strong plus);
• confidence in training groups and delivering presentations and experience in managing and guiding multiple projects simultaneously;
• strong analytical skills, persuasive communication and the ability to maintain oversight, also creativity in finding solutions, combined with disciplined planning;
