Move forward as Senior Site Manager at DSV in Venlo
Are you a strategically strong leader with experience in complex logistics environments? Do you have vision, provide direction, and know how to inspire people to take action? For our campus in Venlo, we are looking for a senior site manager who looks beyond today and plays a key role in the further development of this high-tech location.
You get it done
Working at this site means leading three of the most advanced logistics facilities in the Netherlands, where technology, scale, and customer focus come together. Here, you are helping to shape the future of logistics: you’re on it.
How you do this? As senior site manager, you combine operational leadership with strategic insight. You oversee the full operation of our warehouses and ensure that they perfectly align with the growth ambitions of both our customers and DSV itself. With your vision and experience, you are able to design future-proof processes, drive automation, identify commercial opportunities, and implement improvements that add value in both the short and long term.
You are a visible presence on the work floor, motivating, developing, and empowering your employees. At the same time, you are a trusted partner for international clients at both tactical and strategic levels. You translate customer expectations into concrete plans and ensure alignment between operations, IT, customer needs, and business objectives.
You are also responsible for monitoring and achieving financial results (full P&L responsibility for the three sites) and KPIs, managing performance and workforce planning. You use data and automation to enable continuous optimisation. In addition, you actively contribute to developing an entrepreneurial culture in which collaboration, quality, and ownership are key.
During the integration process of DSV and Schenker sites, you will take an active, leading role in ensuring that all teams align seamlessly with one another. You achieve this by:
- realising an efficient operation in which KPIs, quality, and customer promises are central;
- translating customer growth and market dynamics into scalable, future-oriented solutions;
- building strong customer relationships and actively contributing to commercial and contractual development;
- developing an agile and empowered team that takes responsibility and shows initiative.
Your team stands out within DSV by its strong combination of operational drive, expertise, and ownership. It is a close-knit and motivated group that challenges each other, celebrates success, and works together every day to optimise processes and exceed customer expectations.
We are DSV, we grow
DSV is a global provider of transport and logistics services. With offices in more than 90 countries and a growing network of partners, there is no place in the world we cannot reach via transport by air, sea, rail, courier or road or where we can offer storage in warehouses.
At DSV, we create unique work experiences! This is a great opportunity to take responsibility for further expanding our warehouse operations. Will you join my team,
says Peter van der Meijden, Senior Director.
In the Netherlands, we operate from over 25 branches, with more than 3,000 colleagues. Together we rise to the challenge of a rapidly changing environment. We make quick decisions at every level and combine ambition and teamwork. This is how we move forward and make a difference together.
You bring

- strategic, commercial, and analytical thinking skills that allow you to understand, improve, and scale processes in line with customer needs;
- inspiring leadership: you know how to connect with people, develop them, and empower them to perform at their best;
- excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, enabling you to interact effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation.
