In the Southeast Netherlands region, we handle freight and distribution from our five warehouses in Venlo and three locations in Maastricht. We provide flawless transport services to both new and existing customers. You, along with our freight supervisor, lead a team of around 15 to 10 colleagues. You are ultimately responsible for all transport related activities for our Contract Logistics customers, the set-up, implementations, and improvements of the entire transport process: you’re on it. 

How you do this? You report to the Director Freight and Distribution Netherlands. As operations manager Freight, you are responsible for optimizing the transport process in the region, with a focus on quality and efficiency. In addition to managing various transports, you have close contact with customers and internal stakeholders. As a member of the Freight NL management team, you contribute to the future of DSV and participate in quarterly meetings with clients. You achieve this by:

• coordinating and optimizing daily transport activities with internal and external stakeholders;
• ensuring correct, safe, and timely execution of all freight processes;
• delivering management information and steering KPIs to achieve targets;
• implementing proactive and inspiring personnel policies;
• empowering your team and driving continuous improvement and innovation.

You bring

• a passion for transport and the ability to inspire others;
• strong leadership, communication skills, and strategic insight;
• proven experience (5-10yrs) in a transport or logistics environment;
• the ability to communicate effectively in English (spoken and written);
• the drive to grow with DSV and keep moving forward in a dynamic environment.
