DSV achieves 500,000 safe man-hours with zero lost-time injuries at new Dubai warehouse project
New Dubai warehouse project sets a benchmark for safety, reflecting a strong culture of care, teamwork, and operational discipline on site
DSV has reached a significant safety milestone at its new warehouse development in Dubai, recording 500,000 safe man-hours with zero lost-time injuries (LTI). This achievement highlights the strong safety culture embedded across the project and reflects the continuous efforts of everyone working on site - from HSE teams to engineers, supervisors, and operational staff.
The new Dubai logistics facility, located in Jebel Ali South, is one of DSV's major ongoing infrastructure developments in the region. Ensuring a safe working environment has been a central priority since day one, with all teams committed to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and operational discipline throughout the construction process.
The warehouse construction is expected to be completed during February 2026, with the facility projected to go-live in March 2026.
Reaching half a million safe man-hours without a single lost-time injury is a remarkable achievement and a true reflection of the commitment and discipline of everyone involved
"Safety is not just a protocol for us - it is a culture we live every day. I am incredibly proud of the teams on site who continue to demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and care for one another," said Chrys Mendonca, Managing Director, Contract Logistics, Dubai.
DSV's Group Real Estate team, responsible for the design and execution of the project, emphasised the collaborative effort between DSV, contractors, and HSE teams in reaching this milestone.
"This accomplishment showcases what can be achieved when all partners work together with a shared focus on safety," said Jesper Rydahl Nielsen, Senior Director, Group Real Estate. "Our goal is always to ensure every individual on site goes home safely each day, and this milestone reflects the strength of our processes and the dedication of the people who uphold them."
As construction progresses, DSV remains committed to maintaining a zero-harm environment and upholding safety as the foundation of every decision made on site.
