Towards a more sustainable future
Sustainability at DSV
Acting with integrity while reducing our environmental impact and empowering our people is essential to us
As a global leader, we play an important part in addressing the decarbonisation challenges in the transport and logistics sector. We remain committed to enabling the changes required to reach net-zero emissions in our own operations, value chain and the industry at large. We aim to reduce our environmental impact by testing and scaling proven solutions, making data-driven decisions, commercialising sustainable services, and driving action across our value chain.
As a people business, we foster a diverse and inclusive work environment where employees can realise their potential. We respect human and labour rights and prioritise health and safety at our offices and warehouses.
Guided by strong ethical standards, we promote transparency, accountability and ethical conduct across our global operations and supply chain.
We continuously work with sustainability across all areas of our business, from air, sea and road freight to contract logistics.
Renewable energy
As part of our decarbonisation roadmap in the MENA region, we are installing solar panels across DSV rooftops to generate renewable electricity for our terminals, offices, and electric vehicle charging. All new facilities are designed in line with our Building Design Manual to meet their energy needs through solar power, with surplus energy supporting vehicle charging. Existing sites with high Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) uptake are also being upgraded. By 2030, in partnership with our stakeholders, we aim to implement at least 400 MWp of solar capacity across new and existing properties.
Responsible waste management
We are committed to implementing waste minimisation and circularity practices across our MENA operations. DSV's Waste Management Policy requires all entities to establish goals and actions based on sound business and local conditions to reduce the overall amount of waste, increase in the recycling rate and minimise hazardous waste and landfill waste.
