What personal data do we collect and how do we process your personal data?
DSV is a service provider of transportation and logistics services (“Services”). The DSV entity which you have contacted is the data controller with respect to the personal data received and processed about you as part of providing Services to you.
When you contact DSV, we will process the information, including the personal data, which you have disclosed to us, including your shipment details such as your name, surname, telephone number, postal or email address. We recommend that you do not disclose sensitive personal data, such as data revealing racial or ethnic origin, religion, trade union membership, sexual orientation, health, etc. to us.
DSV may also receive personal data about you from other data controllers for the purpose of DSV providing or assisting with Services or requests to or from you as the end beneficiary of a particular Service.
DSV will process your personal data in compliance with applicable legislation. Please be advised that personal data may be processed by virtue of different legal basis such as consent, contract, legal obligation, safeguarding and pursuing legal interests etc. Legitimate interest could be the processing of personal data for internal purposes in DSV such as Service/product-related purposes and marketing purposes.
Should you, under exceptional circumstances, provide DSV with personal data classified as sensitive personal data DSV is obliged to only process such sensitive personal data in compliance with the applicable legislation, which can often first require your express consent.
Why do we collect and process your personal data?
Your personal data is primarily processed to fulfill the agreement which you have entered into with DSV or DSV’s customer or your request in order to take steps to provide or assist your requests (e.g. while completing a contact form, as part of a registration or a survey) or by law, or as may be required by applicable laws including applicable data protection laws.
For how long do we store your personal data?
Your personal data is processed for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the above-mentioned purposes and in accordance with applicable law, especially if you have entered into a contract with DSV or DSV has received personal data about you from DSV’s customers with whom you have entered into a contract.
Who do we share your personal data with?
Your personal data may be shared with certain service providers or agents and IT service providers. Any third party providers used by DSV will be required to process your personal data only in accordance with DSV’s instructions and to maintain reasonable security of your personal data.
DSV may also share your personal data with third party providers such as hauliers in order to provide you with the Services.
In certain circumstances and according to legislation it may be necessary to disclose data to the authorities. We may also disclose your personal data in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights.
In the event of reorganisation or total or partial sale of DVS’s business, disclosure, if any, will in such connection take place in accordance with the legislation applicable from time to time governing such processing of personal data.
Your personal data may be shared with other DSV group companies, if relevant. Such group companies include companies situated in countries outside the EU/EEA which may not ensure the same level of data protection as countries within the EU/EEA.
Before transferring your personal data to other DSV group companies or third parties located outside the EU/EEA, the relevant DSV entity has entered into a transfer agreement with such recipient based on the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses in order to ensure an adequate level of data protection with respect to such transfers outside the EU/EEA.

You also have a right of access to the personal data processed about you, subject to certain statutory exceptions. Furthermore, you may object to the collection and further processing of your personal data. In addition, you have the right to request that any processing is limited, that your personal data is corrected, if necessary, or under certain circumstances deleted.
