On November 13, 2024, Mr. Chen Jining, Committee Secretary of Shanghai, met with the management team of DSV Group. The DSV delegation included: Mr. Jens H. Lund, Group CEO, Mr. Michael Ebbe, Group CFO, Mr. Frank Sobotka, CEO of Air & Sea Division, Mr. Morten Landry, Group CCO, Mr. Jakob Jeppesen, Executive Vice President of Air & Sea APAC, Mr. Henry Cao, Senior Vice President of Air & Sea China, and Ms. Julia Zhao, Senior Project Manager of Air & Sea China. This meeting further strengthened DSV's commitment to reaching net-zero carbon emissions and sustainable development of supply chain in Shanghai.
DSV fosters sustainable development in Shanghai's logistics sector
Mr. Chen Jining, Committee Secretary of Shanghai, provided an overview of the infrastructure development in the Shanghai International Shipping Center. He stated that Shanghai’s economic development is driven by its ports and shipping activities. Currently, the city is advancing towards a development model that emphasizes sustainable, intelligent solutions, and regulatory development, while deepening the construction of the international shipping center. Shanghai aims to continuously strengthening its role as an international shipping hub, enhancing the service capacity and core competitiveness of the shipping industry.As a significant global logistics enterprise, Mr. Chen encouraged DSV to continuously leverage its strengths on the development in sustainable business practices, industrial transformation, and shifts in consumption structure. He also urged DSV to increase its investments and collaborate with upstream and downstream enterprises to establish a sustainable supply chain system in Shanghai to meet the demand in the market. The city will continue to optimize the business environment by enhancing efficient communication, providing a long-term, stable, and predictable development framework and policies for enterprises in Shanghai.
DSV's green logistics support the e-commerce industry and local enterprises
Jens H. Lund, Group CEO, outlined the progress of DSV's businesses in Shanghai. He stated that Shanghai, as the world’s largest integrated shipping hub, has made remarkable achievements in the shipping and logistics industry.
