USA Inspiration Day

This event, initiated by Mo Siraj - MD Air & Sea Belgium - took place on June 25th and was aimed at customers either with affiliated companies in USA, or those already working with DSV as their logistics provider for shipments to/from USA.
We meant to provide valuable insights in the current US market, as well as create a networking opportunity to meet with our management and sales teams from A&S, Road and Solutions divisions, who were all present. Around 60 companies registered for this event.

After a welcoming speech of Frank Sobotka, Niels Larsen explained the US infrastructure, the impact it has on our day-to-day business, and the overall influence on our performance.

Following a light walking lunch in the garden, accompanied by live background music, our guest speaker Steven Polmans, Director Cargo and Logistics from Brussels Airport, presented in detail the role and the strategic vision of our steadily expanding national airport.

Mr.Guy Janssens, Chief Corporate Affairs from Port of Antwerp, focused in his presentation on the commercial objectives, the rapidly growing container market and the masterplan for mobility improvement around Antwerp city.

Our final speaker was a popular leading politician : Alexander De Croo, Deputy prime-minister from the Belgian Federal Government.  In his dynamic speech the economic relations and politics between our country and the United States were the main topic.

The event proved to be interesting as well as inspiring and was enthusiastically received by the customer audience. An initiative worth repeating !
