Winter tyres in Norway
Norway requires that all heavy motor vehicles must be fitted with winter tyres

From January 2015 Norway requires that all heavy motor vehicles must be fitted with winter tyres with M+S (mud + snow) approval and minimum 5 mm tread depth is mandatory on all axles, including the trailer. This requirement concerns all motor vehicles a permitted total weight of 3,500 kg and all trailers.
In order to meet these requirements, set out in the guidelines of "Statens Vegvesen" in Norway, a Winter Tyre Surcharge will be implemented as from 1st November 2019 to 31st March 2020. The surcharge will enable all DSV trucks and trailers to conform to the legislation when transporting to and from Norway.
The surcharge will be calculated on a per consignment basis and is detailed below:

Valid for export and import.
Surcharge is applicable on the payweight of the shipment.
Surcharge will be invoiced during the period 1/11/2019 until 31/03/2020.
