Implementation EFS

Considering the ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the resulting volatility in global energy markets, ocean freight operations are currently experiencing significant disruption. This has led to a rapid increase in fuel costs, leading to ocean carriers to introduce Emergency Fuel Surcharges (EFS) across all trade lanes, not only in the directly affected region.

As a freight forwarder, DSV is aligning with these market developments to maintain service reliability and ensure transparent cost allocation. You can access the applicable DSV EFS via the link provided.

The DSV EFS tariff covers:

  • Dry and reefer containers (charged per TEU)
  • LCL cargo (charged based on a w/m rate)

Please note that the EFS is a fuel-related surcharge and does not replace existing bunker charges. It will therefore be applied in addition to the current bunker surcharge.

The EFS will remain applicable until further notice. Weekly updates will be provided.
