What IT systems for logistics are there?
Our CargoWrite warehouse management system is based on best-of-breed JDA (previously RedPrairie) technology. It can be integrated with any customer ERP system and has been specially designed to accommodate demanding logistics scenarios such as bonded warehousing, virtual warehousing, Vendor Managed Inventory and a number of certified warehouse operations (e.g. GDP for the pharmaceutical industry). I need fulfilment services
You are in the right place. DSV offers tailor-made logistics solutions for e-commerce spanning a wide range of products, from sports, leisure and fashion to electronic devices and more.
Pick and pack is the core of fulfilment but DSV can also offer associated services such as financial fulfilment, e-fulfilment, inventory management, returns handling and customer service. In selected locations we can offer a total multichannel fulfilment service.
What are the basic processes involved?
Inbound processing entails the handling of goods before, during and immediately after arrival at a DSV warehouse. During the inbound process, there is a constant information flow between DSV and you, the customer. This ensures that you always have up-to-date information regarding the status and the availability of your incoming goods.
The basic storage process itself does not include any physical activities. There are, however, replenishment movements and cycle counts. Replenishment involves transferring additional items of an article from a storage location (usually located high up and towards the back of the warehouse) to a picking location (located lower down and in the front section of the warehouse). Cycle counting is a physical check of the actual stock level compared to the number of items registered as ‘in stock’ in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
The outbound process entails managing and controlling outgoing items, from the point of order receipt through picking and packing of the items for each order and finally to the loading of shipments onto the delivery trucks.

Supply chains do not stop at the border. In fact, more and more supply chains are spreading across more and more countries. This leads to increasing complexity, partly in view of the growing turmoil in international trade. DSV responds to that. We relieve you with a wide range of services in the field of import, export, customs procedures, VAT, excise duties and other obligations arising from legislation and regulations. With DSV as a partner, compliance is no longer an issue.

In various countries we offer fiscal representation, a unique tool enabling DSV Solutions to take over a significant part of VAT related obligations for you. In combination with customs clearance we offer a full package of customs and tax compliance.
- Compliancy Additional regulations your company can be subject to are: environmental regulations, export control related regulations (sanctions, embargoes, dual use), trade regulations and corporate governance related regulations.
