Record-setting cross-kingdom heavy transport
A complex heavy-lift inland transport operation moving oversized industrial columns over 2,200 km across Saudi Arabia, enabling efficient and cost-effective delivery to Jubail.
Transporting some of the longest cargo ever moved across Saudi Arabia, DSV in MENA engineered a high-precision inland logistics solution spanning over 2,200 km from the western to the eastern province.
DSV successfully executed the transport of critical power plant components, including de-hexaniser and de-ethanizer columns, under complex road logistics conditions. The project set a new benchmark, moving cargo measuring up to 65.71 meters in length and 5.05 meters in height - one of the longest inland shipments ever completed in the Kingdom.
Through detailed route planning, engineering assessments, and multi-modal coordination, DSV ensured safe, compliant, and efficient delivery to the Amiral complex in Jubail.

Cost-efficient inland solution
By developing a record-setting inland transport strategy, DSV eliminated the need for additional coastal shipping between Jeddah and Jubail. The significantly reduced logistics costs for the customer while maintaining schedule integrity.
Engineering-led execution at scale
- Safe transport of de-hexanizer columns (183 tons each, up to 65 meters long)
- Movement of de-ethanizer columns and isobutane vessels across long-distance routes
- Successful delivery of oversized cargo to the Amiral complex without delays
Delivering engineering-led transport at record scale
Move oversized cargo across Saudi Arabia with confidence
From complex route planning to safe inland transport of record-breaking industrial columns, DSV in MENA delivers end-to-end project logistics solutions that reduce cost, improve efficiency, and keep critical energy projects on schedule.
