New Exclusions for Importers on Section 232 Tariffs
12-29-2020
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) in the Department of Commerce published notice in the Federal Register revising aspects of Department of Commerce’s process for requesting product exclusions from the Section 232 Duty measures for Steel and Aluminum imports. In addition, it provided for 123 General Approved Exclusions (GAEs) that go into effect on December 29, 2020. Although these exclusions are not retroactive any importer may use them.
