Five Year Harmonized Tariff Schedule Update to be Released
A proclamation was released by the White House to modify the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States.
On Thursday, December 23rd, 2021, the White House issued a proclamation to modify the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) of the United States to include the proposed changes of the World Customs Organization’s (WCO) five year update. Although the proclamation doesn’t include the actual tariff changes, they are expected to correspond to those in the proposal.
Changes implemented by the proclamation will take effect 30 days after publication in the Federal Register.
