DSV Solutions is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate Dangerous Goods Officer in AUS - Len Waters Estate, Aviation Road

We're looking for a Dangerous Goods Officer who can help keep our freight moving safely, compliantly, and efficiently across the globe. From lithium-ion batteries to EV battery shipments, you'll be at the centre of a fast-growing and exciting part of the logistics industry.

 

What You'll Be Doing

 

- Ensure DSV complies with all Dangerous Goods regulations and company standards, and update local processes as needed.

- Ensure employees complete all required Dangerous Goods training.

- Monitor and report on Dangerous Goods incidents, training, and compliance requirements.

- Participate in Group Dangerous Goods meetings and support the consistent application of DG standards across DSV.

- Work with leaders to develop and implement DG and HSE initiatives.

- Provide guidance and support for audits, investigations, training, and compliance activities.

- Support managers with safety planning, reporting, and risk management.

- Monitor risk assessments, environmental assessments, inspections, and corrective actions.

- Lead major risk assessments and serious incident investigations.

- Analyse incident trends and help implement improvements to reduce risk and incidents.

- Support ISO certification and audit requirements.

- Provide general support across Health, Safety & Environment activities as required.

 

What You'll Bring

 

- Experience in dangerous goods, freight forwarding, logistics, transport, or aviation

- Dangerous Goods certification (IATA preferred)

- Experience with lithium battery and EV battery shipments is highly desirable

- A sharp eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset

- Confidence communicating with customers, carriers, and operational teams

- The ability to stay calm when things get busy
