Deadline Approaching for Mandatory Changes to Customs Handling Declarations
DSV are taking the opportunity to advise you again that changes are happening to the way Import & Export Declarations are made in the UK. You must take action to ensure that your shipments are processed going forwards.
All importers and exporters who participate in customs declarations in the UK need to be ready for the change from CHIEF to the new Customs Declaration Service (CDS).
All traders, agents or freight forwarders involved in exporting and importing to and from the UK will need to migrate to CDS.
Please click on the link below for information and guidance on how to ensure a smooth transition on to the new platform.
You must take action as described in our guide to register with CDS and continue to import and/or export through DSV.
HMRC have made some videos available on how to register for CDS, the links to which can be accessed here:-
